Next Wednesday, 29th May will see BBC TV cameras descend on Cuttlestones’ Penkridge auction room as the stars of a new episode of ‘Celebrity Antiques Road Trip’ sell their finds in aid of charity.

Two former Corrie stars, Anne Reid and Thelma Barlow, will be seen taking to the road in a vintage car to seek out antique bargains which they will then sell through Cuttlestones’ fortnightly Home, Garden & Collectors’ auction. Viewers are as likely to recognise Anne from her roles in programmes including Dinnerladies, The Mother, and Last Tango in Halifax – to name just a few – while Thelma has starred in numerous stage and TV shows that include Midsomer Murders, Doctor Who and Where the Heart Is.

Auctioneer & Valuer, Dave Eglington, says:

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming Anne, Thelma and the BBC crew to Cuttlestones next week. Having the cameras on site always gives the sale room an extra buzz and the fact that this is a show that raises funds for the celebrities’ chosen charities makes it even more rewarding.”

Anne and Thelma’s finds will come under the hammer at Cuttlestones’ Penkridge auction room, off Pinfold Lane, on Wednesday, 29th May. For more information on Cuttlestones’ range of valuation, auction and house clearance services, visit www.cuttlestones.co.uk or call 01785 714905.
