Sincere Moments, a locally owned business that provides non-religious and semi-religious Funerals and Weddings, has this week been chosen as one of the top 6 favourite businesses by Dragon’s Den Entrepreneur…….Theo Paphitis.

The ‘Small Business Sunday’ initiative, better known in the Twitter world as #SBS, was created by Theo in 2010. Every week, thousands of businesses send him one tweet between the hours of 5 – 7.30pm – in the hope and holding their breath, that their business will be one of the chosen few!

Each week, he rewards 6 small businesses, by retweeting it to all his followers – so it’s all about interest, energy and difference.

On Monday 29th April, Carole Renshaw a local and professionally trained Civil Celebrant and owner of Sincere Moments, couldn’t believe her luck!

Carole’s been running her business for 2 years now and it’s been going from strength to strength. In that time, well over 10,000 people have seen her take a Funeral, Wedding, Baby Naming or Renewal of Vows ceremony – and that figure’s growing daily.

After a hectic night of tweets and congratulations all round from friends and colleagues across the business community, she had this to say!

“This has just blown me away. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that after 2 years in business, I’d be chosen for something like this. But I kept plugging away and it’s paid off!

Being in this elite group, means I’ll get access to other like minded businesses. It’ll put Sincere Moments on the radar. That’s what Theo does. He promotes you in his social media network and then he leaves it up to you to make the most of it.

It’ll give me a step up and push me to think about what’s next for Sincere Moments. I already had some ideas bubbling away about how to grow but right now, I’m just so thrilled and overwhelmed at what’s happened!
