Stoke based performer Ollie Marland will be helping runners to get motivated at The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice 10K and 5K Family Fun Run. A record number of runners have now signed up for the race on Sunday, 12th May, at Trentham Gardens.
And it is not too late to enter the race as people can register on the morning of the race. Registration opens at 8.30am on Sunday, 12th May. All 10K runners, who want an official race time, must be registered by 9.30am. For all 5K runners, and those 10K runners who do not want an official race time, registration closes at 10am.
For supporters there is a day of family fun and entertainment with the live Signal Radio stage and plenty of activities taking place before, after and during the race.
Ollie will be taking to the stage at around 10am for a 20 minute set featuring hits by Ollie Murs, Ed Sherrin and McFly. Ollie is a regular supporter of the Hospice and will also be cheering on family members and supporters who are taking part in the run.
Runners will be joining Hollyoaks actress and charity Celebrity Champion, Rachel Shenton on the start line after being put through their paces with an energetic Zumba warm-up.
The entry fee for adults is £14 for the 10K and £12 for the 5K. Children under 16 can take part in the 5K for £7. A 5K Family Tickets is £35 for two adults and two children. All runners will receive a medal and goodie at the finish line.
