Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity in thanking all the visitors who attended last year’s exhibition, without your support it wouldn’t have been the success that it was. We are pleased to announce that the Oulton Watercolour Society is holding their annual exhibition on June 13th at Oulton Village Hall, entrance is free; the doors will open at 10am until 6pm.
Refreshments and a Raffle (Hamper) will be organized both modestly priced, also available will be hand crafted cards.
Club members will be giving demonstrations and on hand to answer any questions relating to the paintings and painting classes. It also gives us the opportunity to promote the club as we are always on the lookout for new members, whether you are experienced or complete novices, we`re not fussy we will accept anyone.
All the pictures exhibited are for sale and have all been painted by the society members with the majority being local, but some members come from many outlying areas.
The object of the exhibition is to not only showcase our work but enable us to raise funds to cover the rising costs of hiring Oulton Village
We as a society are very fortunate to have the tutoring services of our president Doris Brown S.W.A. (Society of Woman Artists) who founded the club back in 1969. This year Doris is celebrating her 80th birthday and was presented with gifts along with a book of paintings that she has created over the past years. So please come along and give us your support.
Thank you from all the members.
