Walton Priory pupils win top prize at Keele University

On Friday 26th April four pupils at Walton Priory Middle School went to the Salter’s Festival of Chemistry at Keele University.

During the day the four boys, all in year 7, took part in four challenges: paper making, solar power, molecular models and water.

The Walton Priory team – Michael Graham, Michael Sawyer, Nathan Boothroyd and Khaihid Uddin, came first out of 10 schools that entered.

Mrs Gilman (Deputy Headteacher) said

“Both Mr Pierzchalla and I were very proud how how the boys worked in a team and their problem solving skills”.
