St Dominic’s Church will officially open its new community garden this week (Sunday 4 August).
Stafford Borough Council provided £25,000 to the Church for a redesign and landscaping of the community centre garden.
And on Sunday, it will be officially open by Father Gerard Doyle, Parish Priest of St Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church, Stone, along with the Mayor of Stafford Borough, Councillor Angela Loughran and Mayor of Stone, Councillor Jill Piggot.
The garden has been enlarged by incorporating an area of land which was previously fenced off and now features pathways and planting, as well as a brick bin store and beautiful pagoda. It will allow the area to host weddings and community events.
Refurbishment has also been carried out at the centre alongside the landscaping scheme.
