
The July monthly lunch meeting of Stone Probus was held at the Upper House Barlaston on 1st July. After lunch, members of Stone Probus were given an extremely interesting, moving and sometimes emotional talk on medical reality in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, by Major Simon Davies.
Simon, who is currently the NHS trauma co-ordinator in the Major Trauma Centre at University Hospital of North Staffs explained how the experience gained from the medical work done in Camp Bastion also benefits patients in the UK.
Major Davies also currently serves with 207 (Manchester) Field Hospital (Volunteers) and is soon to be promoted Lt Colonel.
