On Saturday 22nd June twenty musicians from the area gathered to play in Eccleshall town centre to provide music for shoppers. The weather started badly but improved allowing the musicians to play outside. the judging had to be carried out in the upstairs room of the library for the cash prizes provided by the Stafford borough Council.
The ages of the contestants ranged from eleven to more mature entrants and the winners were Hazel Eyed, a group of four girls who sang mostly their own material, Charles Scott who played the violin and Anthony and Andrew who played guitars. The organisers would like to thank all of the musicians for taking part and turning Eccleshall into an outdoor musical centre if only for a few hours.
