The children at Green Lea First School in Milwich were asked by Gamekeeper Mr Tim Butler to make scarecrows to keep the predators away from his pheasant chicks. Head teacher, Alison Bagnall, set the children the task of making a scarecrow and researching when scarecrows were first used. The children made over 20 different scarecrows from fishermen, horse riders to a Simon Cowell scarecrow. The scarecrows were used to decorate the school grounds before being taken by Mr Butler to their new homes.
