Christian Aid Collection 2013 total


Generous givers in the Stone area have donated £9,882 to this year’s 2013 Christian Aid collection, with an additional £3,600 of gift aided bringing the final total to an impressive £10,782, local co-ordinator Margaret Thompstone reports.

£10,000 would fund a sand dam to supply fresh clean water to a village in Ethiopia or improve roads in Palestine to improve farmers’ access to their crops and markets.

Christian Aid never gives money diectly to any country, but supplies tools, support and pays for projects to eradicate povery around the world, she points out.

On behalf of Christian Aid she sends a big thanks to local organisers, collecters, treasurers and everyone who gave donations this year.
