The Royal Exchange, a former winner of ‘Pub of the Month’ in February 2011, has won the coveted award again for 2013. Formally a Banks’s Pub, it was purchased by Titanic & Everards as part of ‘The William Project’. It re-opened, after a complete refurbishment on 25th September 2008.
Following the sad loss of much missed Cherryl Poppitt, Michelle Hughes entered the ‘bridge’ 18 months ago and now, the Royal Exchange has now been voted CAMRA’s ‘Pub of the Year’ for 2013. The presentation took place Thursday 8th August – the above photograph shows Michelle Hughes and staff receiving the cup from Mike Harker,Heart of Staffordshire CAMRA Chairman.
