A local mother and daughter have been busy over the recent summer holidays raising funds for two charities, close to their hearts. Aimee Griffiths from St Michael’s First School completed a kids triathlon in Whitchurch and raised £211 for Operation Christmas Child. This will help send many gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need all over the world and is run by Samaritans Purse. She is very pleased as several local schools and clubs have also chosen to support this project. Special mention and thanks goes to The Co-Operative Stone ( who have a collection box in store), WHSmith Stafford, Rotary Club of Stone and District, 1st Stone Beavers Scouts and The Alzheimers Drop In Club. A wrap n pack party will be held at Manor Hill First School on 17th November at 2pm to combine the contributions from the community. All are welcome! To get involved or for more information contact 07799 534225.
