Stone girl lands dream job in New York

A Stone girl has set her sights on  pastures new as she secures a prestigious role at the Credit Suisse headquarters on Madison Avenue in Manhattan, New York. After competing against thousands of aspirational young graduates in a string of intensive interviews based in London, Maxine Poulter aged 22, has secured a key role in the Global Marketing and Internal Communications team.

Former Alleynes high school student Maxine, recently graduated from The Manchester Metropolitan University with a 1st Class degree in the Bachelor of Arts in Advertising Management and Public Relations. She also won a coveted Marketing and Business Information Technology Department prize for the Best Performing Student.

Previous to graduating she participated in various internships in the hopes of differentiating herself from all the other graduates fighting for a start in an already over-saturated job market. One of these internships was with Cancer Research UK where this summer she helped to plan and manage many of this summer’s Race for Life events in the Midlands.

“Maxine has worked exceptionally hard to gain this fantastic opportunity,” says Stephanie Poulter, her mother.

“She is so outgoing and determined to make something extra-special of her life; we genuinely couldn’t be any prouder of her”.

“She has always insisted that she would land a big job in a big city, we just didn’t realise how big!”
