If you are handy with a sewing machine and would like to use it to create textile art, put Saturday 16th November in your diary now. Contemporary textile artist June Parkinson will be holding a Textile Design Workshop at Yarnfield Village Hall working on canvas and lutradur. “To see June’s amazing combinations of machine stitching, hand stitching and embroidery, visit her website www.juneparkinson.co.uk,” advises organiser Averil Rogers. “Hopefully, June will bring her own items with her, which will probably be for sale.”
The workshop is from 10am – 4pm and tickets cost £20. Drinks are available but bring your own lunch and – most importantly – your own sewing machine or arrange to share one with a friend. Place are limited and to book yours phone Averil on 01785 760445.
