Kids can cook up a treat!

Pre-schoolers and children in Eccleshall, Stone and surrounding villages can learn how to cook up a treat with a new cookery class starting at Eccleshall Community Centre on Tuesday 19 November.

Eccleshall Pre-School and eBASH have teamed up with Kiddy Cook to offer classes open to all children aged 2 to 11 in the local area. The sessions start on Tuesday 19 November and will get children cooking, promote healthy eating and food awareness whilst building confidence and encouraging independence.

Initially there will be four sessions at Eccleshall Pre-School in the village’s Community Centre on Tuesday 19th and 26th November and 3rd and 10th December. Classes for pre-school age children will be from 2 to 3pm and from reception to year 6 will run from 3.45 to 4.45pm.  The cost for each class is £3 per child for those already attending the pre school or after school club on that day, and £6 per child for everyone else.

Sally Rowen, Eccleshall Pre School Manager commented “We are very excited to launch this new partnership with Kiddy Cook.  We are looking forward to the children having lots of fun with hands-on gastronomic experiments, learning about food and exploring new flavours in an educational and fun way.” She added; “The sessions are open to any children, even if they don’t normally attend eBASH or Eccleshall Pre-school!”
