Eccleshall’s Carole meets her Dragon

Carole-&-Theo-copyAn award winning Ecclian entrepreneur, headed off to Birmingham at the end of November, to collect her award from former Dragon’s Den entrepreneur, Theo Paphitis. Carole Renshaw of Sincere Moments is a proud winner of the ‘Small Business Sunday’ initiative, better known in the Twitter world as #SBS. Every week, thousands of businesses send Theo one tweet between the hours of 5 – 7.30pm – in the hope that their business will be chosen by the business guru! Each week, he rewards 6 small businesses by retweeting it to all his followers – so the winners get immediate exposure to his international business network! And since winning the award in April, Carole’s seen her business profile stretch beyond her wildest dreams! On 28th November, all winning businesses across the UK gathered at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham. The day saw Theo head up the event offering advice and tips on running a business with the focus on small businesses – and how to survive! Carole’s an Eccleshall based professionally trained Civil Celebrant. She takes non-religious Funerals and Weddings across Staffordshire and throughout the UK and her business Sincere Moments is going from strength to strength. The business is in its third year and so far, just under 17,000 people have seen and heard her take a ceremony – and that figure’s growing weekly. Carole says that meeting Theo and collecting her award from him was “I was over the moon when I won the award in April. But getting invited to spend a day with Theo was just the icing on the cake. He gave out lots of good advice for small businesses and how to survive and grow in the market. There’s even some funding he’s making available that we can bid for to help our businesses grow.” Theo’s Small Business Sunday initiative can be found at www.theopaphitis.com
