The charity still has a few places up for grabs, but you’ll need to be quick off the starting line to get one – the deadline for entries is 7 May.
The showcase Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 takes place on Sunday 10 August, starting in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and following a 100-mile route on closed roads through London and into Surrey’s stunning countryside.
Becki Niewiadomski, event organiser at Meningitis Now, said
“RideLondon-Surrey has all the atmosphere and excitement of the London Marathon, but on two-wheels, and we’d love you to be part of our team. We’re on hand to guide you every yard of the way, providing fundraising ideas and fitness and training tips. And we offer you one of the best packages around, including a post-race reception for riders, a welcome shower and sports massage.”
After the inaugural event’s success last year, the number of riders taking part this year has increased by 50 per cent with 24,000 cyclists expected to line up at the start.
“Taking part for us will make the achievement of reaching the finishing line all the sweeter, and knowing you’re supporting a good cause will help get you up some of those hills,”
“Every penny you raise will make a real difference in our fight against meningitis – saving lives and rebuilding futures, through research, awareness and support.”
