Stone’s independent traders are going all out to make shopping fun with a ‘cracking’ Easter Saturday on the 19th April between 10am and 3pm.
There will be a number of attractions in the town on the day, including face painting by Sarah Bywater, a balloon seller, musicians, colouring competition, food stalls as well as an ice cream van – so fingers crossed for a warm spring day! However, the Main Event is a Grand Easter Egg Hunt for youngsters up to 12 years of age – and everyone who has registered will be a winner! The prizes? Easter eggs of course!
To register for the Easter Egg Hunt, parents will need to visit one of the three registration points listed below any time up to 4.30pm on Friday 18th April – that’s the day before – please make a note of this – parents will be able to register children on the day at the Totally Locally stall in Market Square, however entry will be on a first come, first served basis; there will be a limited number of eggs, so register early to avoid disappointment.
• Plants Jewellers on Stone High St
• C J’s on Stone High St
• Glitz in the Bag who are above Tylman of Stone in Granville Square
Registration costs £1 per child and all children entering must be accompanied by an adult on the day. Once registered parents and children should make their way to the Totally Locally Stall in Market Square on the day, where they will be given a map and clues so as to help their youngsters to find the hidden Easter eggs. Once they’ve completed the hunt, and have solved the mystery catchphrase, all the children who have entered will receive an Easter egg to take home – and we ask parents to please co-operate with this – we always want to leave the High Street and Market Square as we found them.
Totally Locally will also be hosting a FREE to enter colouring competition. Youngsters will be able to get their ‘Egg Picture’ to colour from Tylman of Stone as long as they call in up to 3pm on Saturday 19th April. There will be two age categories: 3-6 and 7-11. All entries will be displayed in the Gallery at Tylman of Stone, and judging will take place by the Totally Locally panel the following week. The winner in each category will win a voucher worth £10 to spend on toys at Tylman of Stone.
Totally Locally Stone is an association of independent traders who give their time to ensure the shopping experience in the town and any funds raised will be reinvested into future events in the town.
