Stone Revellers present – The Vicar of Dibley

The-Vicar-of-Dibley-the-vicar-of-dibley-383216_1024_768Stone Revellers are proud to present this wonderful stage version of a British TV classic whilst raising money for Comic Relief.

Life in the sleepy village of Dibley is turned upside-down when the ancient Rev ‘Potty’ Pottle dies and the bishop controversially sends a female vicar, Geraldine Granger, as his replacement.

Her arrival is met with a mixture of wonder and horror from members of the Dibley Parish Council and of course Alice, the local verger. Head of the Parish Council and pillar of the community, David Horton, is particularly appalled, and resolves to have her removed. But Owen, Frank, Jim and Mrs Cropley have other ideas.

Geraldine finally manages to throw the two village idiots Hugo and Alice together, and in the run-up to their spectacularly silly wedding, even David must admit that Geraldine is the best thing to have ever happened to Dibley. Relive this wonderfully funny and charming BBC classic right here in Stone, and be part of the congregation for Hugo and Alice’s hilarious wedding. Oh and of course, as always with Stone Revellers Summer production, a meal is included during the performance – fish and chips for everyone!
