The Chase is on for the local Police

donnalouise2014Staffordshire Police are taking on each other as part of The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice 10K & 5K Family Fun Run.

The team will take on alter egos at this year’s event by dressing up as cops and robbers and attempting to apprehend the each other.

The 10K & 5K Family Fun Run is this year celebrating its 10th Birthday on Sunday 11th May 2014 and is inviting people to be as innovative as possible and don an outfit of their choice at Trentham Gardens.

Chief Inspector, Phil Fortun said “to be fair the theme is an obvious one for a Staffs Police team to do and should help to further raise awareness of the hospice. On the day I myself will be a robber and the dramatic change of role – being the pursued and not the pursuer – will be something different too.

“As parents we know the joy of having children, so can empathise with the pain of those who face dealing with a diagnosis for their child that brings them to need the support of the Hospice. The Donna Louise is a very local and very special charity for many of us, myself included.”

Katy Burgess-Lowe, Events Manager said “ We are delighted with Staffordshire Police’s theme and can’t wait to see their energy on the day.

“Pre-registrations may have now closed, however runners who didn’t manage to register in time can still enter on the day from 8.30am until 9.30am at the registrations marquees.”
