The latest pictures of illegally dumped rubbish across Stafford Borough have been posted online.
‘Grimewatch’ is a borough council initiative to help catch fly tippers with the help of the public. Residents are asked to provide information from pictures and details of the ‘unsolved grimes’ featured at www.staffordbc.gov.uk/grimewatch.
The latest photos include seven black bags, which contained empty beer cans and sweet boxes, along with other household waste dumped on Leese Lane, Moddershall.
Up to nine rubble sacks filled with broken asbestos roofing sheets were left on Common Road, Stafford and more roofing materials were discarded in Amerton near the village of Weston.
All the photographs include date, location and other details about the illegal tipping over the last few weeks with the borough council appealing to anybody who has information about the waste to get in touch.
There were more than 350 reports of fly tipping last year in the borough costing tens of thousands of pounds to clean up. Over recent months a number of people have been fined in separate incidents for dumping items such as household waste and an old sofa illegally in Stafford, Eccleshall and the village of Great Haywood.
