The Great British Food Festival is back at Shugborough Estate – Bigger and Better than ever!

The Great British Food Festival is back at Shugborough for 2014! Pen the 5th & 6th of July in your diary because the Great British Food Festival is back at the stunning Shugborough Estate, near Staffford.

There’s lots going on, from chef demos to cake competitions, to kids rides – something for everyone! The main chef demo arena hosts TV chefs such as Brian Mellor (BBC & Granada TV) and Marcus Bean (Good Morning) as well as the best of local talent such as Dean Cole from the world famous Belfry, Richard Cullen (Taste of Staffordshire Masterchef 2013) and award winning Baker, Duncan Hindley.

This year the event also has an ‘Artisan talk tent’, where you will find free wine, drinks and foodie talks, as well as hosting ‘Great British Cake Off’ with members of the public will be judged on their Chocolate Delicious and the classic Victoria Sponge cakes, anyone can enter, so get practicing!

Baking not your thing? Well how about eating? Then the Men Vs Food Challenge is for you, this year challengers will be taking on a surprise challenge, tougher than ever!
The Great British Food Festival has attracted over 100 producers; there’ll be the best of Staffordshire produce along with the tastiest treats from further afield. All showcasing the best in local, seasonal and speciality food and drink. After you’ve done your foodie shopping, sit out enjoying tasty hot food, with Staffordshire’s amazing mix of cuisines including some more exotic elements – so you can try Thai noodles, Ostrich burgers, or Samosas as well as pulled pork, prime steak, and the best local burgers and sausages, for those with more traditional tastes! Grab locally made real ale or a glass of wine (or two), and sit down and relax with great live music in the beautiful surroundings of Shugborough Estate.
