Trios in Triathlon can try a tri to tackle terrible disease

Trios can take on the world’s biggest triathlon to tackle meningitis.

We invite people to join our team at this year’s London Triathlon, which sees more than 13,000 athletes of all ages and abilities, on August 2-3.

Excitingly, you can rally two or three amigos and split up the capital’s swimming, cycling and running challenge, or, of course, do it solo.

There are four ability levels, so you can pick the most appropriate:

  • Super Sprint – 400m swim, 10km cycle, 2.5km run
  • Sprint – 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run
  • Olympic – 1,500m swim, 40km cycle, 10km run
  • Olympic Plus – 1,500m swim, 80km cycle, 10km run

Meningitis Now offers a 50 per cent discount on registration – £25 per guaranteed place, instead of £50.

We also ask for £400 minimum sponsorship per place, so duos and trios not only split the course, they can divide the registration fee and fundraising target, making it easier.

If you already have a place – why not do it for Meningitis Now?

In return, the charity provides full support, a free running/cycling top, handy information pack including tips on how to prepare, and we will be there supporting on the day.

Meningitis Now formed after Meningitis UK and Meningitis Trust, the founders of the UK’s meningitis movement, united in 2013.

The charity, which has almost 30 years’ experience, exists to save lives and rebuild futures by funding research, raising awareness and providing support.

Our vision is a future where no one in the UK dies of meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need.
