Experienced teachers from Lichfield Cathedral and Staffordshire and Stoke Music Hub will host a 2-day workshop for young singers this summer.
The course, taking place on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th August, will offer young people the opportunity to join singers of the same age to perform as part of a group, as well as explore the science behind the voice. They will also receive a 30-minute individual singing lesson, and have the chance to sing in an end-of-course showcase.
Singing in groups has been found to boost confidence, develop team-working skills and can provide a sense of achievement, all of which are clear benefits to both school life and beyond.
Cathy Lamb, Director of Music for Lichfield Cathedral says:
“We’re really excited that we’re able to offer this new choral course. It’s a great chance for young singers to come together, learn some new skills and have some fun in the summer holidays.”
The course is priced at £30 per child, and registration is required. For more information or to download the Registration Form, visit www.lichfield-cathedral.org. Places are limited, deadline 30th June.
