Little Stoke Cricket Club is among 324 local sports projects to secure a share of £17 million of National Lottery funding from Sport England’s Inspired Facilities fund. They have been awarded £41,015 of funding
Little Stoke Cricket Club have now completely modernised the Club’s two changing rooms, showers and pavilion facilities as well as installed energy efficient heating, lighting and water saving devices, loft and cavity wall insulation as well as new UPVC windows and doors. As part of this project disabled access and toilet facilities have also been improved.
As a result of this building modernisation programme, the Club aims to increase sporting participation in both cricket and crown green bowls, increase usage by local voluntary organisations, as well as ensure that the Club is accessable to all members of the local Little Stoke and Stone community including those with disabilities.
Sport England Property Director, Charles Johnston, said:
