Registration is now open for Douglas Macmillan Hospice’s Family Fun Ride, which takes place on Sunday 17th August at Whitfield Valley Nature Reserve.
It comes hot on the pedals of the Hospice’s Bike Ride in May, where 1200 riders have so far raised over £70,000 in sponsorship,
The Family Fun Ride is one for the entire family, with a choice of a 1.5 mile Parkland Path or the more challenging 8 mile Tunstall Trail.
It is free to enter the event with supporters encouraged to raise as much as they can for the Hospice in sponsorship.
Liz Clarke, Head of Fundraising commented,
“We’re very excited about our brand new Family Fun Ride. After the amazing response to our Bike Ride in the past two years we think it’s a great event to put one for all the family.
“Entry is free but we do encourage each entrant to raise as much as they can in sponsorship to help fund the care we’re renowned for in the local community for adults facing life limiting illnesses.”
Each supporter who raises over £50 in sponsorship will be entered into a prize draw to win a children’s BMX bike kindly donated the Cyclist Discount Centre. To enter the Family Fun Ride please visit www.dougiemacevents.co.uk, register before Sunday 10th August.
