By the rivers of Babylon …

Maybe the theme of The Fiery Furnace on a very hot Saturday in July put some people off Messy Church at St Michaels Hall, but the 20 or so children who turned up with their families were not disappointed.

They enjoyed crafts, singing songs and food. They made, amongst other things shakers and instruments for the celebration time, andĀ  Finger painting

They heard theĀ  story of Shadrach, Meshac and Abednego followed by the making of a mobile featuring those gentlemen. A Junk statue as made by King Nebuchadnezzar was constructed and is on display in St Michaels Church, and of course the ever popular decorated biscuits went down well.

The next session is on Saturday 27th September when the theme is the Harvest story from the bible”The Man who wanted Bigger Barns” (Luke 12:13-21)

As usual, all are welcome; children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who must stay for the duration as Messy Church is not designed to be a creche. No charge; meeting time 3pm – 5.30pm at St Michaels Hall
