As our Trout fishing has pretty much come to a close now due to the weather and shallow water. We take up this time to get the work done ready for the next season which for us starts in September. Weed removal and bank maintenance will be taking place over the next couple of months to ensure the Trout Fishing at Seighford Lakes is kept to its usual standard. How ever in the mean time, we do have a few other things on offer for you.
Have you ever tried your hand at Sea Trout Night fishing? We are running trips from Seighford Lakes guiding school over the next couple of months, we can cater for up to four anglers at a time. You will be fishing prime stretches of private rivers, learning everything from how to approach the pool to different flies and methods to catch these great fish. We can supply all tackle at a small extra cost, accommodation is at your own expense if you do wish to stay over. This is a rare opportunity to catch one of the best fighting fish in our English rivers. For more information feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me on 01785 282967.
Have you booked in for your Salmon fishing? As well as the Sea Trout fishing, we offer day trips, or weekend trips on some of the most picturesque stretches of river in the UK. Now here is your chance to catch the King of all fish ‘The Salmon’. You will be fishing on private stretches of waters in the North West of England, with great runs of Salmon giving you the best chance of catching one of these magnificent fish. You can use any method you wish, from fly, worm, spin or shrimp fishing depending on the water conditions.
With the Weather turning red hot this week, the fish haven’t been playing all of the while. Some times switching off the feed til the evening when it cools down slightly. The Old Pool has continued to fish well on a night, with a few lads having some great night sessions over the last week. Ben Mason from Wolverhampton and Friend Shaun Carr from Stafford,Landed fish to 18lb off the 1 acre lake last weekend. Both of them fished from peg 21 using 14mm boilies to bank them 4 fish over night.
The Horse Shoe has continued to fish well, although match weights were down slightly this week, due to the fish feeding before and after the match when they know it is safe and when the water is slightly cooler. How ever fish have been coming out in great numbers for pleasure fishermen. With anglers landing up to 50 Carp in a day!!! Carp to 12lb have been caught out of the 14 peg match pool over the past week. All baits have been working, from Maggots to paste, Meat has also been one of the best baits this week.
