Katharine House Hospice are calling on readers to put on their walking shoes and cowgirl hats to join one of Stafford’s most popular ladies fundraising events and make this the biggest one yet. Katharine House Hospice’s popular sponsored Midnight Walk returns on Saturday 13th September and this year is extra special being the hospices 25th Anniversary. In celebration of this silver jubilee the hospice is asking those taking part to rope the men in for one year only to try to make this the biggest one yet.

James Lunney Hospice event fundraiser says:

“There have been anywhere from 600-1000 ladies each year. This year, for one year only we are asking ladies to bring partners, brothers, fathers, sons etc (if they want!) to support us in this special jubilee celebration year and make it the biggest one yet. This year we are doing things a little differently with a Wild West theme!”

For the 2014 event Juliet Lindop joins for the 5th year in a row and this year is bringing 30 friends to form the Jubilee Belles.

Juliet said,

“At the beginning of this year I decided to take part in this amazing event for the 5th year in succession as it is also our 25th wedding anniversary year. My dream was to take part in the 25th jubilee walk with 24 other ladies and make up a wonderful team of 25 and so started the search for the Jubilee Belles. I put requests on Facebook, asked friends and put up posters and slowly but surely reached and surpassed the 25 and recently entered a team currently standing at 31. I couldn’t have done this without my amazing family and friends. Now it’s time to rope the men in!”
