Trout Fishing

There finally seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. With the Weed work all most finished on the Swan Neck Pool we are ready to get the 2014/2015 under way. Haven’t got a date for opening yet as we are waiting to see what the weather does this week, fish will be here within a matter of days. I will be sure to post an opening date as soon as i know. The Railway Pool will be opening at a later date. You will all be very pleased to know for the third consecutive year we will be keeping the prices as they are, meaning we are still one of the cheapest fisheries around for the size of fish we have….Not many other fisheries can you have the chance to catch fish to 20lb for just £17.50 on a C+R Ticket. We welcome small clubs and corporate days to Seighford Lakes, we can offer discounts to group bookings and don’t miss out on one of our spectacular breakfasts.

We are all looking forward to the Trout fishing opening back up here, as i am sure a lot of you are. We would like to thank everybody who has supported us over the past couple of years to help make Seighford Lakes the best Small Still Water for Trout Fishing in Staffordshire!!

Coarse Fishing

Some more great fish came out over the weekend off the Old Pool. Fish to 17lb 1oz were landed off the Specimen pool this week, peg 21 being the most productive. There are plenty of spots available for the this week on the night fishing front for anyone who would like to book in please give Jay a call on 07933512401. Halibut Pellets and boilies are still the best baits at the moment.

The Horse Shoe Pool has slowed down slightly over the past two weeks, whether the for ever changing weather conditions are playing a big part in it i am unsure. Plenty of the Carp are still showing and being caught, but the Skimmers and Bream don’t seem to be feeding. Peg 8 seems to be the flier at the moment with Chris Corns from Stafford landing over 80 Carp off it this week, ranging from 1lb-14lb. All fish were taken on Corn and Meat.

The Maze Pool has fished well this week, with new comer to the fishery Roy Anslow from Cannock landing 8 Tench all over 4lb from peg 42, he also bagged himself 5 Carp to 16lb!!! All fish were taken on Meat and Pellet.
