Job seekers are invited to a recruitment fair being held at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Family Day.
The event is being held at the organisation’s headquarters at Pirehill, Stone on Saturday, September 20 from 12 noon – 4pm.
The recruitment fair will be attended by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Stoke-on-Trent College and Jaguar Landrover.
As well as having the opportunity to speak to employers about available positions, there will be free sessions on writing job applications, producing a CV and interview techniques.
Recruitment Advisor for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Julie Edwards said:
“Our Family Day attracts thousands of people so we thought it was the ideal opportunity to run a recruitment fair at the same time. It will be very relaxed and informal so hopefully those people who find recruitment fairs a bit daunting will feel comfortable enough to just pop in whilst also enjoying everything else on offer at the Family Day.”
Attending organisations will be recruiting for the following positions:
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service – volunteers, apprentices and taking expressions of interest for retained firefighters for 2015.
Stoke-on-Trent College – apprentices for a variety of roles including positions at the fire and rescue service.
Jaguar Landrover – over 100 jobs in various positions.
The Family Day event is free to enter and will include fire service demonstrations and vehicles, the opportunity to meet fire service mascots Blaze Bear and Welephant, entertainment for the kids and refreshments. Parking is free. For more information visit: www.staffordshirefire.gov.uk.
