A trip to the Post Office for St Dominic’s Reception class

St Dominic’s Reception’s topic last half term was ’All about me.’ They have been looking at where they live. They have looked in atlases and at maps of the world and the United Kingdom. They have also been learning about their addresses and why they are important. As part of this, the children wrote a letter to their mums and dads and they addressed their own envelopes.

The children also watched an informative DVD on what happens to letters after they are put in post box.

Reception then decided that they would like to post their letters, so on Thursday 16th October, they all walked down into Stone High Street to visit the Post Office. The children bought stamps for their letters and stuck them on. They then found the post box on the High Street and posted them.
