Christ Church Academy has been nominated by Parliament’s 2015 Anniversaries Team to represent our local constituency, in an exciting national initiative run by the Houses of Parliament. All pupils within the school have been asked to design a flag to represent where they live. All the flags created will be displayed in a digital exhibition, with a selection chosen to represent the nations and regions across the UK, being sown into flags to fly at a special event at parliament in 2015. Mrs I Bowden, Head of PSHE said ‘It is a fantastic opportunity for our school to represent the people of stone, in a very special way. This project has lead on from our annual visits to the Houses of Parliament and has caused quite a stir with the pupils. The pupils are proud to be involved in something that represents our whole community.’
