The best months for Trout fishing at Seighford Lakes is now upon us, the colder the better for us as the Trout thrive in the cold water, lets just hope it doesn’t get too cold out there and freeze us over. As for the weather at the moment it is as close to perfect as we can get. That’s why this week we have put a bigger stocking than usual in, both lakes are being stocked on Thursday 4th December, there will also be a stocking going in before Christmas. (23rd)
Taking a break from Carp Fishing, Neil Snowy (Penkridge) has swapped the big pit reels and 40lb+ Carp to have his hand at fly fishing . Being over a year since his last go at casting a fly, he soon got to grips with things landing this cracking looking 3lb – 4lb fish. Neil managed a further three fish, so taking his bag limit of four fish home. He took the fish from the end peg of the Swan Neck Pool using an Olive Damsel on a floating line.
Christ Ector had the best brace this week taking these two beauties , giving a combined weight of 16lb 4oz. Chris caught both these fish off the island on the Swan Neck Pool. Kev Faulkner made top rod again this week landing 22 fish over both pools on Sunday morning.
