Katharine House Hospice is inviting those looking for a challenge in 2015 or 2016 to join one of their Sahara Treks. The Treks will take place between 8th – 19th October 2015 and 11th – 20th March 2016.
“We really wanted to give prospective adventurers a taste of the Trek so we are hosting 2 free presentations – on Friday 23rd January at 6.30pm and Saturday 24th January at 10am at Katharine House Hospice. The trek organisers and also 2014 hospice trekkers will be there to answer any questions and show some breath-taking imagery of the Sahara. The events are not to be missed if you have a spirit for adventure and would like to help your local hospice”
You can book your place at one of the presentations by calling the fundraising team on 01785 270808 or email fundraising on firstname.lastname@example.org.
In 2014 11 trekkers set off on their challenge in support of Katharine House which included Steve Roulstone, Amanda Tripp, Penny Graysmith (hospice chaplain), Claire James (Hospice staff nurse), Julie & Emily Brown, Francis Gaffney, Helen Collins, Jennifer Thomas, Jerry Stokes and Katy Penn. So far these incredible supporters have raised over £25,000 which will all go towards providing free care services to patients and their families at Katharine House.
