The residents of Great Bridgeford and the surrounding area now have access to a potentially lifesaving defibrillator, which is located on the outside wall of the Great Bridgeford Village Hall.

This is an automated external defibrillator (AED) which is available for use by any member of the public and ambulance service. Although the defibrillator is fully automatic, 12 members of the village will receive advanced training in using it. This unit was supplied by Network Rail, following the setting up of a Legacy Group consisting of Network Rail and the Staffordshire Alliance to compensate residents for the disruption caused by the ongoing rail improvement works in the Norton Bridge and Chebsey areas.
