The Bingo evening held on Wednesday January 21 at Eccleshall Community Centre raised £222 for Katharine House Hospice.  George Simkin did his usual good job as caller and delicious hot meat baps were served by Steve from Perry’s the Butcher.  Despite the recent bad weather 50 supporters created a very happy atmosphere and many went home with cash and raffle prizes.

The Eccleshall committee had their annual dinner at the Old Smithy on Tuesday January 20 when a cheque for £3,500 was presented to the Hospice chief executive Richard Soulsby. This was raised from the various fund raising events that the local committee arranges each year with the help of the general public.
