Staffordshire Indian cookery school iCookIndian, which has been going from strength to strength since its launch in October 2013, is adding the Dorothy Clive Garden to its list of class venues.
Public classes will commence at the garden, handily located near the Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire borders, on Saturday, 14th March 2015; opening up chef and course leader Amarpal Harrar’s vast knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine to a whole new audience. A charismatic and knowledgeable tutor, Amarpal recently appeared along with his family on the BBC2 culinary fly-on-the-wall series ‘The Kitchen’.
Several courses are already planned at the garden throughout 2015, as Amarpal explains:
“We’ve had great success in Mid and South Staffordshire and have been actively seeking a venue that will allow us to expand further into the north of the county and also serve South Cheshire and Shropshire. The Dorothy Clive Garden is a perfect venue, not only thanks to its very useful location but due to the fact that it’s a great venue in its own right – the gardens are stunning and will really add another dimension to the day for our cookery students.
“We have initially secured several course dates at the garden and envisage drawing Indian food lovers from Stoke, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Nantwich, Crewe, Whitchurch, Market Drayton, Wrexham, Chester and other towns near the three counties’ border due to it being so handily placed.”
The first public iCookIndian course at the Dorothy Clive Garden will take place on Saturday, 14th March 2015. Commencing at 2pm, students will enjoy the iCookIndian Classic course to create a classic meal incorporating an excellent balance of traditional dishes, with vegetarian option available. In addition to cooking their meal from scratch, students will learn about the heritage of the dishes they are cooking and about the spices and other ingredients they use and, as an added bonus, will get to take home the food they’ve cooked to share with friends and family.
Spaces on the iCookIndian Classic course at the Dorothy Clive Garden on Saturday, 14th March are £65 per person – to book visit www.icookindian.co.uk, call 01785 336166 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
