The Milwich & District Produce Guild held their 27th Annual Bulb Show in the village hall on Thursday 26th February 2015.
There were 75 exhibits giving a spectacular exhibition of hyacinths, daffodils, crocus, tulips, amaryllis and orchids. The show Judge, Bernard Brown commented that for the second year the quality of the exhibits had been excellent and he had had a difficult task deciding the winners.
Frances Evans won the Lindsey Paxton Trophy for the hyacinth class with a perfect single white hyacinth. Last year Frances won the class with a single blue hyacinth.
Brian and Sonia Boughey had the best show of daffodils (Strawberry Garden Centre Challenge Cup) and also the best exhibit in the show (Ivy Cotton Challenge Cup) – a magnificient bowl of tulips. This success and wins in other classes also brought them The BTJ Challenge Trophy for the most points in show. Second on points was Frances Evans with the Chairman Mike Baggaley in third place.
Show Secretary Chris Bulman thanked everyone for the support they had given which had once again produced a wonderful display of flowers
