A fundraiser from Eccleshall, in Staffordshire, will start a trilogy of physical challenges when he lined up for the London Marathon. Ben Sutcliffe, is taking on three of the UK’s biggest sporting events in a bid to raise funds for the charity he works for, Caudwell Children.

Inspired by the support he received when diagnosed with epilepsy aged 17, the father of one said: “My friends and family taught me a valuable lesson at a time when it felt like my world was falling apart. They believed in me and refused to let my condition define who I was, which enabled me to regain my self-confidence and eventually believe in myself again.

“I now want to do anything I can to pass this positivity on to other children in a similar situation, to give them the confidence to reach their full potential. By working and raising money for Caudwell Children I’m able to do just that, it gives me a great sense of achievement.”

Running the gruelling 26.2 miles of the London Marathon will be followed by the Ride London 100 mile cycle and the Olympic distance London Triathlon in August.
