Following the success of last year’s concert, the residents of Fulford were treated to a second Young Talent Concert in St Nicholas’ Church on Saturday March 21st given by the musicians of the village.

This was not only a fund raising event for the Church but also a great opportunity for the young people to perform as soloists to an enthusiastic audience of families, friends and villagers.

The evening began with an impressive performance by a brass group made up from students from the local area and finished with the Entertainer played by all of the musicians. With performances of Vivaldi’s Oboe concerto, Your Song (Elton John) and Chanson de Matin and tea and home-made cakes in the interval, it was a hugely enjoyable evening attended by a large and appreciative audience with the added bonus of raising £135 for Church funds.
