The Herons meet an Owl – where? In Barlaston of course!

In March Barlaston Herons WI welcomed Andrew Campbell, creator of The Owl Experience. He brought with him some of his rescued owls, giving members the opportunity to hold and be up close and personal to such beautiful creatures. These charming birds were well behaved as individually members petted, stroked and held them.

The Herons then learned about owl habits, the horrors of keeping owls as pets and the depletion of these birds in the wild, as well as being given details on projects to save and rescue endangered species. The voluntary crew from the Owl Experience made it an informative and fun evening.

In May we will be learning how to prepare hanging baskets with Jean Phillips from The Country Cabin. If anyone is interested in joining the group, please contact Jo on 01782 374086, or Erika on 01782 373008. or see our website
