Volunteering for the future in Yarnfield

Five years ago there was much talk of the “Big Society” – an army of volunteers working tirelessly to enable the voluntary and community organisations that touch so many of our lives to deliver their invaluable services.

Despite the squeeze to many people’s income, they are still donating their time to make their communities that little bit better.
So what’s in it for the people who volunteer? A great sense of satisfaction and purpose; knowing that you’re contributing in some way to enable others – and in this particular instance, help those who deliver a great education to young children in the unique setting of Yarnfield Village Hall.

The Pre-School, which is a registered charity (1036839), has been running for 28 years and today , with more children on the roll than ever before, there’s a team of staff bursting with creative ideas and enthusiasm.

Yarnfield Village Hall Pre-School currently needs enthusiastic committee members who want to invest their time in the future of our community. If you would like more information on becoming a committee member please contact Liz Mitchell on 07837 428315. Or feel free to pop along to their AGM on Thursday 21st May, 7.30pm at Yarnfield Village Hall, ST15 0NR.
