Stafford & Uttoxeter Railway Book Signing & Amerton Railway 25th Anniversary Event

On 23rd May 2015 the Railway will be hosting an event for Allan Baker & Mike Fell to sign copies of their new comprehensive history of the Staffordshire & Uttoxeter Railway. The Railway will also be celebrating 25 years since the ‘Cutting the First Sod’ ceremony that marked the start of it’s construction with a commemoration event. The S&U Waiting Room from Chartley & Stowe Station located at Amerton will have a display of S&U relics and the development of Amerton as a heritage railway.

Bagnall “Isabel” and Hunslett Wren “Jennie” will be operating passenger and freight services. Visitors will be able to ‘Go behind the Scenes’ and visit our Workshop and Running Shed where a Feldbahn 0-8-0T, Kerr Stuart Wrenn “Lorna Doone” and Trentham Gardens Baguley “Golspie” are under restoration. Our new ‘Minnow’ Ballast Hopper and NCB Manrider will be on display with our diesel fleet.
