Leek and Moorlands NSPCC committee raises annually in excess of £18000 for the NSPCC and is always looking for new ideas for fundraising. This year the members are holding an interesting event locally. On June 6th and 7th June, the celebrated local artist Rob Pointon is holding a painting exhibition at WILDACRES, Consall, a fine wildlife garden set in Consall Nature reserve, ST9 0BE.
From 11am till 5pm, visitors will be able to see a fantastic art trail that Rob has produced whilst staying in Consall, experience the gardens and stunning views and treat themselves to a tasty refreshments provided by the ladies of the NSPCC. Paintings will be for sale and a percentage of each sale will go to the charity.
This is a unique opportunity to see Rob Pointon’s fine work.
Sue Wardle (Chairman of Leek NSPCC) says –
“Rob came to paint here last year and was amazed by the beauty of the Consall and Churnet valleys. He decided he wanted to do more painting in the garden and offered to exhibit and donate a percentage of his sales to our cause, which is much appreciated. We are hoping the weather will be fine so people can view his paintings in situ. Admission will be £3.00 and cream teas and cakes, produced by the ladies of Leek NSPCC will be on sale in the garden.”
