Last year over 550 hospice supporters got splattered in multi coloured powder paint to remember loved ones, raise funds or just for fun as they took part in Katharine House Hospice’s first ever “Splatter Dash”.
Following on from last year’s success Katharine House Hospice will hold the Splatter Dash event again this year, in a brand new location; Stafford Common.
The Splatter Dash 2015 will see intrepid supporters pelted with coloured powder on a fun 3k obstacle course. Events Fundraiser Lisa Carson said
“It’s by no means a race, there are no prizes for first place, or second or third for that matter! It’s not about who’s fittest, it’s all about having FUN. We are asking supporters to get together with family, friends and colleagues and have a good laugh whilst supporting our hospice”.
The course will set up on Stafford Common, on Stone Road, Stafford on Saturday 29th August 2015, the fun starts at 11.00 am. Along the 3k one lap course a selection of crawl nets and tunnels will be placed to add to the fun.
“Splatter Dash is an event not to be missed. It really will be a great fun day out for all the family. Over 100 people of all ages have already signed up” said Lisa.
Registrations are now open for the event which costs £10 for under 16’s, £15 for over 16’s and groups of 6 or more at £10 per person.
This year’s event is being kindly sponsored by Castle Estates. Steve Roulstone, Director of Castle Estates said
“We are very proud to be part of Splatter Dash 2015 and to be supporting such a worthly cause”.
Becky Martin, Corporate Fundraiser for Katharine House said
“I’d like to give special thanks to Castle Estates for sponsoring Splatter Dash 2015. Their sponsorship means that even more money raised from the event will go directly to providing free care for local people with life limiting illnesses”.
