Ceramics, canal art, hand-turned wooden platters and gorgeously embroidered bags and purses were among the wide variety of hand-made items on sale at Stone’s Craft Market.
The sun shone brightly, shoppers were out and about and the fourteen stalls were doing brisk business.
“The Craft Market is a great way to offer things you can’t get in High Street stores,” said Neve Carnes on the Nevarah stall. “I’ve had good interest today and will be coming back again,” said Mary Baskerville on the Lucky Canal Art stall.
“Trading has been good and I’ll be back next month,” said Kate Nowakowski from Congleton who was selling hand-painted stoneware from Bolesaviec in Poland.
“The Craft Market has got off to aa excellent start,” said Councillor Jill Hood, who is behind the relaunch. “People are spending money and the stalls are very diverse.”
Stone Craft Market takes place on the 3rd Saturday of the month. The next date is June 20th.
