Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is teaming up with its friendly local wine shop, the Wolseley Wine Loft, to host a cheese and wine evening at the Wolseley Centre Friday, 12th June.
Guests will be able to sample a number of mouth-watering cheeses alongside wines carefully selected by the team from ‘the loft’ to help compliment the gastronomic experience.
Over the course of the relaxed evening, Brenda and Dave from ‘the loft’ will also be on hand to answer questions and offer advice about choosing that perfect bottle of vino. Wolseley Wine Loft’s Brenda Rhodes says:
“We’re delighted to help raise funds for such a great charity – especially one that’s right on our doorstep. All the team at ‘the loft’ have been busy sampling various wines in preparation for the event and we’ve come up with some real crackers! We anticipate a good turnout on the day and hopefully the event will raise a good sum to support the trust in its excellent work.”
Also looking ahead to the event, Alison Rhodes, Commercial Manager for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, said:
“Cheese and Wine nights are always popular and we’re really pleased to team up with the Wolseley Wine Loft to help run this event.
“As well as helping to raise money for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, it’s an enjoyable social evening too. The event will take place on our glorious Park Bank.
“It’ll be a relaxed evening and also give those who attend the chance to learn more about different grapes and varieties from the team at the Wolseley Wine Loft.”
Tickets are priced at £25 each and are available to book online via www.staffs-wildlife.org.uk/whats-on or from The Wolseley Wine Loft which, lying opposite the garden centre at Wolseley Bridge, is open Thu/Fri 12noon – 7pm, Sat 11am – 7pm and Sun 11am – 4.30pm.
