Carron Valley Fishery held their very first Scierra Pairs heat and the fishery didn’t disappoint with 9 pairs catching their 10 fish limits before the finish. Carron Valley is a stunning fishery and all of the boats were well spread from the start catching all the way down the Bank from the Dam to Gull Island. A Di5 Sweep seemed to be the best line with a Blob on the top dropper a traditional wet n the Middle and a Yellow Dancer or a Cat on the point.
Graham Steele and Kenny Dickens won the heat after bagging up early and arriving back at the jetty by 10.45am, Top Class angling lads a great performance. Martin McCafferty & Evan Reid were a very close second after coming back to the lodge at 11am.
Elinor Trout Fishery had a good turn out with 10 anglers taking part in this years Scierra Pairs heat, firstly I would like to apologise for not being their myself and a massive thankyou to the fishery Staff for running a great heat.
Tom and Ollie took the heat win after landing their 12 fish and a superb rainbow of 9lb 5ozs. The conditions were a bit blustery but overcast and the lake was fishing very well. First boat back in was Steve and Phil at 12.30, a great effort lads and see you in the final, Bart and Charlie both England Internationals took the final qualifying spot for Rutland Water.
Again a massive thanks to all the anglers fishing this weekends heats and remember their are still places left for all of the fisheries still left Rutland Water Fishing Lodge, Stocks Reservoir, Morton Fisheries, Bewl Water, Draycote Water, Llyn Brenig, Grafham Water Fishing Lodge and finally Llyn Trawsfynydd Lake.
