Christ Church pupils visit Parliament
In the run up to the election, 60 year 8 pupils from Christ Church Academy made the trip to London to visit the Houses of Parliament. Following on from a picnic in the park, the children were treated to a trip along Downing Street and a workshop on creating new laws. Mrs I Bowden, Head of PSHE said ‘The trip to parliament is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to reinforce their knowledge of our political system.’

Help for Nepal
On Friday 1st May all pupils of Christ Church Academy held a non-school uniform day to raise money for those affected by the disaster in Nepal. In addition to this year 5 pupils Francesca Griffiths, Isabelle Carreras and Katy Williams, organised a cake sale for the pupils of Key Stage 2. Both events were hugely successful and the school would like to thank everyone who contributed money and/or cakes, which in turn helped to raise a fantastic £643.20! Christ Church is immensely proud of all their pupils for being so generous!
